Two letters about payment for photographers, from members in the CWU and Aslef unions, which appeared in the current issue of the Journalist, were criticised at last Friday’s NEC meeting. Birth announcement: To the NUJ – a new photographers’ branch

All four London NEC members were present at the birth of the new Photographers’ branch on Tuesday 26 January. The timing could not be better, just 3 days after professional and amateur photographers had gathered in Trafalgar Square to protest against ‘terror stop and searches’.
